For children 2 to 5 years of age with liver and kidney problem the recommended dose is 1 teaspoonful [5ml] of Claritin syrup every alternate day.
Claritin reditabs should be placed on tongue where it disintegrates within seconds and then to be swallowed. It can be administered with or without water.
Side Effects
The most common Claritin [Loratadine] side effects reported in case of adults and children 12 years of age and above are headache somnolence fatigue and dry mouth. In case of pediatric patients 6 to 12 years of age the most common side effects reported are nervousness wheezing fatigue hyperkinesia abdominal pain conjunctivitis dysphonia malaise and upper respiratory tract infection.
